"Women in Love" is admittedly an odd film. I've not read that Lawrence book, so I don't have any idea how accurate it might be, but Russell definitely infuses the film with lots of over-the-top scenes. (The scene with the two male leads, wrestling naked by the fire is guaranteed to make any straight man squirm.) I think that Glenda Jackson was the best thing about the film, but visually it was quite impressive as well.
